Due to the manufacturing process, the side walls of injection moulded workpieces have demoulding bevels. The front surfaces of connector housings, for example, have a high requirement for flatness due to the required sealing function. The most important geometrical characteristics are positions, diameters, distances and flatness of the sealing surfaces. With tolerances of 20 µm to 100 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are in the medium range. The same applies to the measuring time.
