Compared to many other workpieces, headlights have a large size. The position of the optical features in reference to the electrical features, the installation situation of the mechanical components and the position of the light sources in relation to the respective reflector must be tested. With tolerances of 20 µm to 100 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are in the medium range. The measurement time plays a subordinate role.
