On car headlights, the positions of the LEDs in relation to the lenses and reflectors are measured, and the seals are also tested.

The TomoScope® S Plus combines a large measuring volume with a small footprint. This means that complete car headlights up to 600 mm in size can be measured. With multi-spectral CT (MSP-CT), a high-resolution, low-artefact measuring volume is obtained by combining two measurements with different parameters. This means that both the electronic components and the plastic shell can be measured and the seals tested, particularly on multi-material assemblies. MultiMaterialScan (MMS) provides separate measurement point clouds for the different materials. The patented Multi-ROI CT (ROI: Region of Interest) enables the high-resolution measurement of areas of interest, e.g. the LEDs. In combination with an overview measurement at a lower resolution, this saves measurement time and storage volume. Werth contour image processing with image, contour and element filters enables reliable determination of geometrical characteristics in any cross section through the volume.
